Aaron Beeken: Session Guitarist From Peterborough
Hello, welcome to this section of my website. I hope that you enjoy reading it. This page explains a little more about my background, experiences, my interests and the musical services I offer.
Coming from a musical family there was always instruments around the house, which I used to experiment with. However I really started honing my musical craft aged 13 and studied the basics of bass guitar and was soon in a band performing gigs at my local Youth Club and school with friends. I got my first electric guitar aged 14 and explored learning Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers songs progressing onto rock bands such as Guns n Roses, Rainbow and Black Sabbath. At the age of 15 I took lessons with guitar teacher Gizz Butt; Gizz helped develop my playing to next level and beyond, introducing the exciting world of advanced guitar techniques from Van Halen, Paul Gilbert, Malmsteen and Jeff Loomis to name a few.
After I was awarded with Distinction Guitar Grade 8 from Rockschool and A grade Music A Level in 2008 I departed Peterborough to study for my Degree in Contemporary Popular Music, during this time I performed live with Steve Vai in Guildford and Portsmouth. At this time I set up the metal band PROTO INFERNO aged 18 with bassist Warren Allett and drummer James Pepper. PROTO INFERNO released the EP 'The Hour of Darkness' in 2010. Around 2012, I then formed SONS KAL-EL with Chad Sunderland (THE MORE I SEE) and Lee Churchill (THE MORE I SEE / AUSTIN GOLD). I then set up CLA RECORDS LTD as company director and released SONS OF KAL-EL’S 10-track album 'Songs from the Phantom Zone' which peaked above REM in the iTunes new release charts.
In 2017 I joined the progressive heavy metal band SYNAPTIK. In 2018 SYNAPTIK were pleased to sign to ENSO management and also performed Malta’s Shellshock Festival in February.
Rounding things up, I am a guitarist and bass player, secure in performing a range of popular contemporary music styles. I specialize in guitar tuition and teaching. I am also a popular contact to call upon as a ‘dep’ bass and electric guitarist. I am a musician experienced in performing clubs & pubs, larger festivals, weddings and high-end function gigs. I learn songs very quickly and accurately, I turn up on time, I love music and being a musician, I enjoy working with others, and I always aim to do a great job. I am confident singing too. I enjoy performing as a live and studio guitarist locally, nationally and abroad.
Some other bands and artists I have performed with include The Dizzy Miss Lizzies, Leon, The High Rollers, The Deps, The Guards, The Great Pretenders, Miscellaneous, and Third Stone From The Sun.
